The Show

Creative License – A New Musical
Book and Lyrics by Kevin Cirone
Music by Kevin Cirone, Spencer Elliott and Dan Rodriguez

An Irish pub.  A Scottish play.  Two former friends.  Sixty days.  One snag.

Casey and Bethany haven’t spoken for a year. Casey has writer’s block and a friend with benefits that’s about to shut down the benefits, and Bethany is treading water in a safe relationship and an overwhelming job for a demented drama professor. When Casey is inspired to create the next big thing, they find themselves nose to nose once again attempting to produce the nutty professor’s “magnum opus”. When the play is revealed to be not all it seems, the two have to work together to find a creative solution.

It’s a banter-laced, rocking testament to the power of art, family, friendship, and double-malt scotch.

The Boston Globe article (Sat. 8/8/15) mentioned Kevin’s “Leading Role” at the Reagle’s “Wonderful Town” production; hope to see Kevin there on Thursday 8/13 and again at the Next Door Theater dress rehearsal on Monday evening.

    1. Thanks for supporting both shows!
